We’re not far off from being champions says Silvestre

Arsenal blogs
Defender Mikael Silvestre says that the team are not far off from being able to lift the Premiership trophy or even the FA Cup or Champions League, such is the improvement in the squad.
The team have already lost two games in the league this season, but Silvestre says that those defeats provided food for thought.
Fresh off the back of the 6-2 mauling of Blackburn Rovers, the Frenchman says that simple mistakes which allowed their opponents an early lead can be eradicated.
Arsenal went on to win 6-2. Silvestre said: “In those two defeats against City and United, we learned that we are not far from being a winner.
“We scored goals away from home which is good and I am looking forwards to the big games again this season to test ourselves. “We play very good football and I hope it will pay off. It is about being mature and the details.
“If you look at the way we conceded two goals at the weekend, if we can get rid of those moments, then we will have a real chance. We are not far from it.”

BRAZIL AND REAL MADRID CAN MAKE ME WORLD'S BEST PLAYER AGAIN - KAKA

He says group success is the key to individual accolades...
Real Madrid and Brazil playmaker Kaka has declared that he would like to once again be recognised as the best player in world football and he believes that winning trophies with club and country is the key to putting himself back on top.

Kaka won both the Ballon d'Or and the FIFA World Player of the Year awards in 2007 and says that preparation is the key to winning titles and succeeding in achieving those individual accolades once again.

"To be elected again as the world's best have to win collective titles. I think I have the possibility of achieving that with [Real] Madrid and with the Selecao," the 27-year-old was quoted as saying by AS.

"I'm going to make the most to achieve that. Every time when Brazil is well prepared we achieve success, but that did not happen in 2006."

Brazil have already qualified for the World Cup in South Africa next summer with two qualifiers still to be played in the coming days, against Bolivia and Venezuela.
